According to the analysis of the real estate company 1Partner Kinnisvara, the highest price paid for a house in Estonia was 2.2 million euros, for land unit 1 million and for an apartment 494,000 euros in 2012, LETA/Delfi reports.

1Partner Kinnisvara CEO Martin Vahter said that all the bigger transactions of the year took place in Tallinn and the Harjumaa county. "Extremely expensive contracts are rather rare in Estonian circumstances, less than ten a month, but as compared to a year ago, many more of such transactions are conducted," said Vahter.

Martin Vahter said that sellers don’t sell expensive real estate under construction cost anymore and in the above-mentioned projects, the initial developer reaped a small profit.

Altogether 10,066 real estate transactions were conducted in Tallinn in 2012, 14.3% more than in 2011. The number of apartment transactions grew by 23 and lots 7.9% while sale of houses fell 18%.
