Ukraine wants to get Lithuania's Siauliai arena project

Print versionSiauliai City Municipality received official request from Kharkov City (Ukraine) to sell the project of Siauliai Arena. Such arena would be constructed in the second largest city in Ukraine, informs LETA/ELTA.

Experts call Siauliai arena one of the most beautiful in Lithuania. The municipality which paid nearly LTL 1 million (EUR 289,620) for Siauliai arena project will negotiate with the Ukrainians for the cost of the project.
"Definitely, I do not want to scare Kharkov City residents – we will be negotiating over the cost of the project," said Siauliai City Mayor Justinas Sartauskas.
Architect who designed Siauliai arena and Zalgiris arena in Kaunas City Eugenijus Miliunas was awarded with the National Arts and Culture Award 2012. Currently Miliunas and his team are designing 18,000 seats arena in Kiev which will be one of the main arenas in Ukraine.
