Ober Haus: demand for apartments in Riga grows by 39% in H1

In the first half of 2012, the demand for new apartments in Riga increased 39% from the respective period in 2011, according to Ober Haus real estate market report.

In June, the average prices of Soviet-era non-renovated apartments in Riga did not experience significant changes and amounted to EUR 578 (LVL 404.6) per square meter, writes LETA.

 

The prices for Soviet-era non-renovated apartments in Riga's most popular suburbs, such as Teika, Purvciems, Plavnieki, Ziepniekkalns, Imanta and Agenskalns, ranged from EUR 18,000 to EUR 27,000 (LVL 12,600 to LVL 18,900) for one-room apartments, from EUR 24,000 to EUR 36,000 (LVL 16,800 to LVL 25,200) for two-room, from EUR 30,000 to EUR 43,000 (LVL 21,000 to LVL 30,100) for three-room, and from EUR 40,000 to EUR 47,000 (LVL 28,000 to LVL 32,900) for four-room apartments.

 

Local residents were mostly the ones interested in purchasing apartments in Riga's suburbs in June, especially apartments up to 50 square meters in area priced at EUR 35,000 (LVL 25,400) or less.
