Apartment prices in Estonian towns fell slightly in May

The Pindi Index fell by 0.1% in May 2012 as compared to April as the weighted average price of a square meter of flats in the 17 bigger Estonian cities and towns was 844 EUR, writes LETA/Eesti Päevaleht.

Pindi Index that reflects the weighted average of the real estate transactions carried out in 17 larger Estonian cities has fallen by 40% of its level at the peak times in April 2007. As compared to the lowest point of recent years in July 2009 the index has increased by 35.3%.

 

While in April, 862 transactions were carried out with flats in 17 larger Estonian cities, in May the activity level in transactions was 1,070.

 

The price index compiled by Pindi Kinnisvara takes into account the weighted average price of a square metre of purchase and sale contracts where the objects are flat ownerships in all county centres as well as in the cities of Kohtla-Järve and Narva.
