Number of real estate transactions grew, volume fell in Q1 in Estonia

The number of real estate sales-purchase transactions grew by nearly 20% in Estonia in the first quarter of this year as compared to the same time last year while the value of transactions fell by 4%, LETA/National Broadcasting reports.

7,612 real estate sales-purchase transactions were conducted in the first quarter for 356.7 million EUR. In the first quarter of 2011 the sales total value was 372.5 million EUR, Land Board statistics show.

 

In comparison: during the 2007 real estate boom, nearly 50,000 units of real estate in the value of 3.8 billion EUR changed owners.

 

In Tallinn, the number of transactions grew by 26% to 2,223 while the monetary value fell by 33% to 160.3 million EUR.
