Number of real estate transactions fell by 8% in Q1 in Estonia

Print versionIn the first quarter of the year 2010, 8,371 real estate transactions worth nearly 4.37 billion kroons were conducted in Estonia according to the Land Board data, LETA/National Broadcasting reports.

The number of transactions fell nearly 8% and value nearly 23% from the same time last year. In the first three months of 2009, 9,070 real estate transactions worth 5.67 bln kroons were conducted in Estonia.
As compared to the fourth quarter of 2009, the number of real estate deals fell 26% and financial volume by 33%. In the fourth quarter of last year 11,292 real estate transactions worth nearly 6.51 bln kroons were conducted.
In the first quarter of this year, 22,438 hectares of land hanged owners, 12% more than at the same time last year. In the fourth quarter of 2009, 35,222 hectares changed owners.
