Number of real estate transactions concluded in Tallinn grew by 41% in March

According to initial statistics compiled by the Land Board, a total of 755 purchase and sales transactions with real estate were carried out in Tallinn in the month of March 2010, writes LETA/Postimees Online.
This is by 41% more than a year ago and by 30% more than in February this year.
531 flats were sold in Tallinn in March – 27% more than in February and 63% more than in March last year.
Managing director of 1Partner Kinnisvara Martin Vahter stated that the 30-% increase in the number of transactions is like that during the boom years.
After a growth of six months, the average price of a square metre of flats in Tallinn fell by 2-3% in March. According to initial data collected by the Land Board, the average price of a square metre in March was nearly 13,500 kroons.
