There are several towns in Estonia where real estate transaction prices have fallen by 70% or more as compared to the peak times in 2007, Postimees Online/LETA reports.

For example in Narva, transaction prices have fallen exactly 70% as compared to May 2007 when the prices were at record levels, Pindi’s market review indicates.

The price fall has been the same in Kuressaare, with the difference that prices peaked there in May 2008.

As compared to October 2008, transaction prices of apartments in Jõgeva have fallen 89%.

In Kohtla-Järve, prices have fallen by 74% since June 2007.

In Tallinn and Tartu, prices have fallen by 53 and 41% respectively as compared to the beginning of 2007.
