Apartment prices in Soviet-time houses in Riga up 2% in June

In June 2017, apartment prices in Soviet-time standard design houses in Riga rose by 2% against May, according to the latest price indicator drawn up by the Latvian Real Estate Dealers Association (LANIDA), cites LETA.

In June, prices in the secondary apartment market rose by 0.1% for apartments in downtown Riga and dropped 1.5% for apartments in Riga Region.

 

Apartment prices in new residential projects in the city center dropped in price by 4 over month, while prices of new apartments in residential neighborhoods climbed 2%. In Riga Region, new apartments declined in price by 1% and in Jurmala by 0.2%.


The market price indicator for June 2017 was based on monitoring results provided by Ober-Haus, Latio and Balsts real estate companies.

 

According to the information provided by these companies, the average apartment price in new projects was EUR 2,807 per square meter in the city center, EUR 1,327 per square meter in Riga’s residential neighborhoods, EUR 881 per square meter in Riga Region and EUR 2,700 per square meter in Jurmala.

 

In June, the average price in the secondary apartment market was EUR 1,455 per square meter in the city center, EUR 748 per square meter in Riga’s residential neighborhoods, and EUR 520 in Riga Region.

 

The average price of private houses was EUR 1,114 per square meter in Riga’s residential neighborhoods, EUR 878 per square meter in Riga Region and EUR 1,400 in Jurmala.
