Latvia`s State Land Service's head steps down

Print versionThe State Land Service Director General Elita Baklane-Ansberga has handed in her resignation to Justice Minister Dzintars Rasnacs, reports LETA.

Baklane-Ansberga explains that she is stepping down for personal reasons, and that her decision has been well thought out.
Rasnacs commented that he respected the Land Service's head and had a high opinion of her work.
Baklane-Ansberga will continue to work as the Land Service's director general until August 18. Rasnacs will in the near future meet with Prime Minister Maris Kucinskis and the State Chancellery's Director Martins Krievins to discuss potential candidates for the Land Service's head.
