No major changes in apartment prices in Lithuania in March

Print versionOber-Haus Lithuanian apartment price index (OHBI) revealed that in March 2015 apartment prices in five largest Lithuanian cities (Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda, Siauliai and Panevezys) were the same as in February, reports LETA/ELTA.

However, March 2015 compared with March 2014, apartment prices in Lithuanian cities increased on aggregate by 1.6%.
According to Ober-Haus data, in March compared with February apartment prices in Siauliai and Vilnius increased by 0.3 and 0.1% respectively, while the average price per square metre increased to EUR 559 (+2 EUR/sqm) and 1,283 (+1 EUR/sqm).
Apartment prices in Kaunas decreased by 0.1% to EUR 940/sqm (-1 EUR/sqm). In Klaipeda and Panevezys apartment prices did not change and remained the same as in February at EUR 975/sqm and EUR 529/sqm.
In March 2015 compared with March 2014 apartment prices in Vilnius increased by 2.6%, Panevezys 1.1%, Kaunas 0.8%, Klaipeda 0.4%. Meanwhile in Siauliai apartment prices fell by 0.1%.
