Price of Soviet-era apartments in Riga increased by 6.4% in Q4

Print versionThe average price of pre-renovated Soviet-era apartments in Riga bloc housing suburbs was EUR 650.7 per square meter in the fourth quarter of 2014, which is 6.46% more compared to the same period in 2014, according to the latest Ober-Haus real estate market overview, cites LETA.

According to the Land Register, the number of apartment sale deals in Riga decreased by almost 11.6% in the fourth quarter of 2014, as compared to the respective period of 2013.
According to Ober-Haus specialists, the prices of pre-renovated Soviet-era apartments in Riga's suburbs varied. Prices ranged between EUR 450 and EUR 700 per square meter, which corresponds to the market situation, and also between EUR 800 and EUR 1,000, which does not correspond to the market situation.
The most interest was for smaller apartments at the price range of up to EUR 30,000, but there was also substantial interest in apartments with a price of up to EUR 50,000.
