Milk purchase price grew by 7% in Lithuania in October

Print versionThe Ministry of Agriculture in Lithuania has announced that the average natural milk purchase price grew by 6.9% in October 2014, informs LETA/ELTA.

The average natural milk (4.35% fat and 3.45% proteins) purchase price stood at LTL 841.3 (EUR 243.7) per tonne in October, whereas in September it was LTL 787 (EUR 228).
In October a total of 127,360 tonnes of milk, or by 6.3% more year-on-year, were purchased.
It is estimated that in one year natural milk purchase price dropped by 33.1%.
