Food product prices in Estonia are by 13% lower than EU average

Eurostat's data indicate that food products were in Estonia by 13% lower than European Union average last year while alcohol was by 2% more expensive, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

Eurostat analysed prices in 37 European states, including 27 EU member states.

 

Food was by 13% cheaper than EU average in Estonia last year. Tobacco was by 38%, bread and grain 16%, meat 21%, fish 13% and milk, cheese and eggs by 12% cheaper. Vegetables, fruits and potatoes and other food category was also cheaper in Estonia, by 13 and 4% respectively.

 

Alcohol was by 2% more expensive than EU average and fats 13% more expensive.
