Botox as treatment for hair loss

Baldness is often mistaken for a medical disorder. However, hair loss is a gradual process in which the hair follicles under the scalp have shrunken and are unable to create new hair follicles to replace dead follicles. This condition affects millions of people including men, women, and children. Experiencing hair loss can negatively affect a person’s confidence and self-esteem. Fortunately, there are several remedies for hair loss sufferers to help stop and prevent baldness from occurring.

There are treatments out on the market specifically designed for hair restoration or replacement. It has been recently discovered that Botox may help with follicle restoration. The results were revealed when a medical doctor gave Botox to his mother to help relieve severe headaches or migraines. As well as helping relieve the pain from the headaches, her hair follicles began to grow back around the area the Botox was injected.

He tested it on a group of his regular patients who suffered from hair loss and were more than willing to try the injection to yield some results. The results were similar to what he had experienced with his mother, a safe way to restore hair efficiently and effectively. Some of his patients began experiencing remarkable results in just one single session of injections.

There are some side effects that affect the areas where the injections take place on the scalp such as moderate pain, swelling, and bruising. These are common characteristics associated with Botox injections. Vitamins that are proven to help stimulate hair growth were added to the Botox injections to help facilitate the treatment of hair loss.

As a result of improvement in the tissue that surrounds the hair follicles, it became apparent that the injections helped to increase blood flow as well as reduce the tension in the scalp. The new discovery requires Botox injections to be used 2 to 3 times per year with the vitamins to continue to experience positive results.

Experts in hair loss agree that the new discovery must be studied further to verify and determine these claims that using Botox injections are effective, and proven to be safe, for the treatment of hair loss.
