Tallinna Äripank board member and largest owner Andrei Zhukov bought the majority stake in security services company Alfastar, LETA/Äripäev.ee reports.

“I hope that new owner brings new perspectives. Plans are connected to Estonia and foreign states,” said OÜ Turvateenistus Alfastar CEO and minority shareholder Kirill Samsonov. Zhukov’s company AS Leonarda Invest bought 78% of Alfastar.

The contraction of the market forces for changes: recently major changes took place in the management of two competitors also: the CEO of Urmas Sõõrumaa-owned K Grupp was changed; there is a new board member in AS Securitas Eesti.

Samsonov said that the changes of recent times are connected to the fall of the security services market: in two years it has amounted to 600 million kroons. Competitions is very tough and price pressure high as everyone wants to increase market share.

Alfastar, founded in 1999, has 230 employees and has ended all years with profits and dividends.
