City Service to provide services to Philip Morris Lietuva

The City Service group will provide integrated facility management services to Philip Morris Lietuva factory operating in Klaipeda; the relevant contract was signed last week for a 5-year term, City Service reports to NASDAQ OMX Vilnius. "As leaders in property management field of activities, we have complied with demands of the top company in Lithuania's tobacco market and we could introduce services in exceptional volume", Zilvinas Lapinskas, the General Manager of City Service, said.

City Service will take care of the factory's utility systems, internal premise cleaning and territory maintenance, as well as the transportation of employees and provision of medical aid. Furthermore, the company will provide secretarial and laundry services, supply coffee and water, and ensure the maintenance of kitchen and cafeteria equipment.

 

"Major international companies are always interested in making their operation as efficient as possible. To achieve that, they focus on their main activities and entrust secondary functions to other companies", Edvinas Paulauskas, the Commercial Director of City Service, said.

 

The Philip Morris Lietuva factory comprises a tobacco preparation facility, cigarette production facility, administrative building, and warehouse. City Service will provide facility management services in all of them.

 

As industry in Lithuania is undergoing a revival, integrated industrial facility management services will be even more in demand. Consequently, City Service intends to pay even more attention to this highly promising business area. In Lithuania, City Service provides services to commercial buildings with an area of 1.4 million square meters, which accounts for 34% of the commercial facility market.

 

City Service group companies operate in Lithuania, Latvia, Russia, and Ukraine. The total area of the facilities managed by the group amounts to almost 18 million square meters.
