Beer sales of A. Le Coq grew by 5% in Estonia

Beer sales of A. Le Coq grew by 5% in the first half of the year 2008 in comparison to the same period of time year 2007.

A Le Coq, the largest beverages industry in Estonia, sold beer in the total amount of more than 26 million litres, writes EPL Online/LETA.

 

The enterprise’s total sales amounted to more than 68 million litres in the first half of the year. Exports volume grew by 11% in the first six months, amounting to 12.4 million litres in the total sales of the enterprise.

 

“Launching the new beer serving concept Extra Cold and the first dry type beer in Estonia by the beginning of this summer have been accepted by the consumers, and this has increased our beer sales to more than 26 million litres,” commented the director of the enterprise Tarmo Noop.

 

“We find that our enterprise’s forte is constant innovation in product development in the beers segment and we see that it has paid off,” he added.

 

Noop also estimated that the sales limitations established have not had any negative impact on A. Le Coq’s beer sales.

 

In comparison to the first half of the year 2007, the domestic sales in other segments of the enterprise remained on the same level or fell slightly. In the cider segment A. Le Coq sold a total of 1.8 million litres, in the long drinks segment the sales numbers reached nearly 5.4 million litres.

 

The company also sold 6.5 million litres of Aura juices and juice drinks. Sales volume of Aura water was 5.4 million litres.
