Production of Estonian farmers lost 15% of its value in 2009

Print versionThe value of total production of Estonian farmers and farming companies fell by 15% in 2009 and Estonian agricultural production value was 8.7 billion kroons, Äripäev.ee/LETA cites agriculture ministry.

The price of milk fell by up to 30%, grain purchase price 20-30%. The value of milk production formed over 20% and grain nearly 15% of the total value of agricultural production.
At the same time, spending on production input has fallen also by 10% mainly due to price falls.
