Kalev Chocolate Factory will get new CEO

Juhan Tere, BC, Tallinn, 25.08.2009.Print version
The Member of the Management Board of AS Kalev Chocolate Factory Mait Nilson will become the new CEO of the enterprise, writes LETA quoting the National Broadcasting.

Kalev’s current CEO Kati Kusmin will leave the enterprise at the end of August. Kati Kusmin will also leave the Management Boards of AS Vilma, Kalev Jõhvi Tootmine AS, other subsidiaries of Luterma, Kalev’s parent company, as well as the Management Board of Maiasmokk OÜ, the subsidiary of Kalev Chocolate Factory.

According to the company, the Supervisory Board appointed Marko Kaha as the second Member of the Management Board.

“The current times have created a situation in the economy where owners want and probably have to be closer to the management. As the terms of office of the members of the management board of the enterprise ended, we decided together that my leaving would be the best solution in the current situation,” explained Kusmin, added that with the major shareholder of the enterprise Oliver Kruuda they parted ways as friends.

Kruuda noted that the change in the management board will not bring about any substantial changes. “Kati’s work in Kalev has been impressive, keeping in mind the changed economic environment,” he said. “The enterprise has adjusted to the new market situation and has been able to even improve its position,” added Kruuda.

Kusmin had been working in AS Kalev since the year 2004.
