ELTA/LETA learnt from the Agriculture Ministry that the sales of sugar plants in Lithuania dropped 3.52% in January-July this year, compared to the same period last year, whereas the sales to the EU consumers grew 9.7% over the said period.
Lithuania does not export sugar to the third countries as it successfully sells it in the EU domestic market because of its competitiveness and quality.
