A comparison of prices determined that everyday foodstuffs were the cheapest in Maxima chain stores in Estonia, writes Õhtuleht/LETA.

A shopping cart that included a loaf of whitebread, bread, cheese, yoghurt, mayonnaise, margarine, a pack of sweets, a large bottle of kvass and half a litre of vodka cost in Maxima stores 199 kroons and 85 cents.

The same cart cost by 75 cents more in Rimi hypermarket store in Norde Centrum and 1.20 kroons more in Säästumarket chain stores.
