Print versionThe fuel produced by the Lithuanian oil processing company Mazeikiu Nafta owned by the Polish Concern PKN Orlen reached even the furthest countries. It is possible to find Lithuanian petrol even in New Zealand.
Several days ago a huge tanker carrying so much fuel that the cars from half of the island could be filled moored in New Zealand. All fuel was brought from Lithuania, the daily Klaipeda writes.
Diana Stretch, representative of BP company, which imports petrol from Lithuania to New Zealand, stated that Lithuania is one of the rare countries from which fuel can be imported to New Zealand. The composition of the petrol produced in Lithuania complies with strict environment protection requirements existing in that country.
Companies in New Zealand can produce half of the needed petrol, therefore another half has to be imported.
