Estonia: Hansarent to continue under Europcar brand

BC, Tallinn, 04.01.2019.Print version
The Estonian vehicle rental and leasing company Hansarent has merged the Estonian franchise holder of Europcar, Mobility Eesti OU, with itself and will operate under the Europcar brand starting from 2019, informed LETA/BNS.

Hansarent OU Board Member Argo Rebane said that Hansarent OU will be preserved as a legal entity, but it will use the international brand Europcar for its operations.

"Europcar is one of the best known car rental companies internationally and our five-year-long cooperation has been excellent,"  Rebane said in a press release on Friday.

Hansarent and Europcar have been working together since 2013. Following the merger, Hansarent OU is expected to post sales of approximately four million euros in 2019.

Europcar has approximately 3,700 outlets in more than 130 countries across the globe.

Renting a car abroad will also become simpler for corporate customers in Estonia, as they no longer have to provide their employees who need to rent a car abroad with a credit card and, should something happen with the car, the matter will be solved by Hansarent OU, Estonian representative of the Europcar brand.

Hansarent OU is a vehicle rental and leasing company established in 2006 as part of the transport services company Hansa Grupp, employer of over 700 people in Estonia and Latvia as at the end of 2018. Hansarent's revenue in 2018 totaled 2.8 million euros, according to unaudited figures.
