Latvian athletes' apparel at 2018 Winter Olympics to consist of 45 items

The Latvian athletes who will take part in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, will have official uniforms consisting of 45 various items, meant for wearing at opening and closing ceremonies, workouts and leisure, informs LETA.

The uniforms of Team Latvia at the Pyeongchang 2018 were unveiled at a presentation today. The uniforms and other apparel have been made by Polish sports clothing company 4F, a sponsor of the Latvian Olympic Committee (LOC) which has a four-year contract with the LOC.

 

The collection of the Latvian Olympians’ apparel also includes various accessories like footwear, head gear, gloves, bags and underwear. The collection comprises 25 various garments, three pairs of footwear, three bags and 14 accessories.

 

The colors of the collection are white, grey and dark red, and the design includes Team Latvia’s trademark ornament symbolizing the team’s strength and unity, Igor Klaja head of 4F owner OTCF, said at the presentation.

 

We did everything to combine in this collection modern technology, such as premium quality breathable seamless fabrics, waterproof materials and traditional Latvian elements, Klaja said.

 

He indicated that 4F is providing sports clothing to the national Olympic Committees of six European countries: Poland, Serbia, Greece, Croatia, Macedonia and Latvia.

 

The 2018 Winter Olympics will take place in South Korea from February 9 to 25.
