Lithuania's energy distribution co ESO posts 8% drop in Jan-May

Lithuania's electricity and natural gas distribution company Energijos Skirstymo Operatorius (Energy Distribution Operator, or ESO) said on Friday that its revenue for January through May fell by 7.6% to 263.9 mln euros, from 285.9 mln euros in the same period last year, writes LETA/BNS.

Revenue decreased due to lower electricity and natural gas distribution service prices to customers," the company said in a stock exchange release.


EBITDA for the five months dropped by 13% y-o-y to 68.2 mln euros.


Lithuania's state-owned energy holding company Lietuvos Energija (Lithuanian Energy) owns 94.98% of shares in ESO, which is quoted on the blue-chip Main List of the Nasdaq Vilnius stock exchange.
