National Film Center allots co-financing for production of three foreign films in Latvia

The National Film Center of Latvia this year will allot co-financing for the production of three more foreign films in Latvia, the center informed LETA.

The National Film Center will provide EUR 200,300 to a French production company's documentary Age of Iron that is co-produced by Latvian company Film Angels Studio, EUR 80,000 to Czech production company Nevativ s.r.o. feature film Outside that is co-produced by Latvia's Tasse Film, and EUR 70,099 to Russian production company Kinodom's feature film Van Gogi, co-produced by Latvia's Forma Pro Films.


At the beginning of the year, EUR 169,908 was allotted for Russian production company Metafilms' feature film Humorist.


The films competing for the National Film Center's co-financing were evaluated by the Riga Film Fund coordinator Dace Lesinska, National Film Center's legal advisor Laura Germane, and National Film Center's senior officer Eva Erdmane-Durandina.
