More insolvency claims filed against Latvia's Rigas Kugu Buvetava shipyard

Another insolvency case has been opened against Latvian shipyard Rigas Kugu Buvetava, according to the website of the Latvian Insolvency Administration wirtes LETA.

The Riga City Northern District Court opened the insolvency case against Rigas Kugu Buvetava on May 26 based on insolvency claims filed by several companies - PL Logistics, Wurth and Instro.


No date has yet been set for the court hearing of the insolvency case.


Several insolvency claims have been filed against Rigas Kugu Buvetava in the past but they all were rejected by the court.

In 2016, Rigas Kugu Buvetava posted audited turnover of EUR 20.758 mln, down 2.1% from 2015, and its profit fell 23.6% to EUR 169,807.


Rigas Kugu Buvetava's shares are quoted on the Secondary List of the Nasdaq Riga stock exchange.


The shipyard's key shareholder is Remars-Riga, which is a member of the Eiroholdings group.
