BC, Vilnius, 17.03.2017.Print version
Rolandas Virsilas, CEO of Lithuania's leading beer producer Svyturys-Utenos Alus, has been appointed permanent managing director for the Baltic countries at Carlsberg, a post he has held on a temporary basis since August 2016, writes LETA/BNS.
"The unified management of the Baltic countries will
enable a much more effective coordination of the manufacturing, logistic,
marketing and sales processes in the Baltic markets," Virsilas said in a
statement.
In his words, the successful experience gained in Lithuania
will be also used in Latvia and Estonia and the merging of the management will
help ensure a stronger and more sustainable business in the long run and better
results.
The post of CEO at Latvia's Aldaris and Estonia's Saku became vacant after the resignation of Margus Kastein in August 2016.
The three Baltic companies posted 235 mln euros in
consolidated sales for 2015 and employed a workforce of around 1,000 people.
