H1 revenue of Estonian Olympic grows 14% to EUR 92.4 mln

Revenue of the listed Estonian gaming operator Olympic Entertainment Group (OEG) in the first six months of the year increased 14 % to 92.4 mln euros, while the company's net profit fell 17 % to 9.8 mln euros, writes LETA/BNS.

The biggest part or 31.2 mln euros of the company's total revenue came from Latvia, while Estonia and Lithuania followed with respectively 20.1 mln and 12.3 mln euros. Sales to Poland totaled 9.2 mln euros which is 30.8% less than in the same period a year ago, the company told the stock exchange.

 

During the six-month period the company invested 26 mln euros in property, plant and equipment totaled 26 mln euros, of which 21.8 mln was invested in hotel and casino construction and reconstruction and 2.5 mln in new gaming equipment.

 

One of the most important events was selling the Hilton Tallinn Park hotel to East Capital for 48 mln euros. In addition, the group completed the acquisition of Estonian casino operator AS MC Kasiinod , which operates under the Monte Cristo brand. As a result of the completion of the transaction OEG now owns 24 casinos in Estonia.


In addition, OEG has 57 casinos in Latvia, 19 in Lithuania, 14 in Italy, eight in Slovakia, and one in Poland, Belarus and Malta each.

 

Swedbank has raised its fair value estimate on the stock of Olympic Entertainment Group by 5 cents to 2.15 euros and continues to recommend buying the stock.


The main reason behind the decision to raise the price target is that the gaming group sold the Hilton Tallinn Park hotel to East Capital for 48 mln euros. As a result of the transaction the company earned 17 mln euros of profit, or 11 cents per share.


On Monday Olympic finished the trading day on the Tallinn stock exchange at 1.92 euros per share.
