Beer production in Latvia in January shrinks 11.5% y-o-y

Print versionA total of 475,481 decaliters of beer were produced in Latvia in January 2016, which is a reduction by 11.51% from January 2015, informs LETA, according to the information from the Latvian State Revenue Service.

In January 2016, Latvia imported 439,045 decaliters of beer, down 0.13% from January 2015.
Altogether 785,394 decaliters of beer were released for consumption in Latvia in January this year, down 17.78% year-on-year.
Beer exports rose 58.42% in January 2016 to 60,331 decaliters compared to 38,084 decaliters in January 2015.
Beer production in Latvia in 2015 totalled 8.564 million decaliters at a 12% drop from 2014.
