September will be Estonian food month

Print versionIn order to popularize Estonian local food, September 2015 is declared for the first time the Estonian Food Month; in total over 30 events dedicated to Estonian food will take place, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

"Estonian people consider the local origin of food important, because food grown and produced here has high quality, is liked and palatable. This is summarized by the motto of the month - "I love Estonian food", said the Estonian Food Month project manager Kadi Raudsepp.
More than 30 festivals, fairs, exhibitions, fairs and conferences take place in the framework of the Estonian Food Month, that opens on September 5 at the Viimsi Farmer's Market, starting from Karksi-Nuia honey festival, mushroom festivals, Nordic food professionals' high-level business forum SAUCE 2015, Estonian food promotions in Helsinki, Paris and Berlin and bread week in Estonian Agriculture Museum.
