Drogas turns over EUR 64.31 mln and earns EUR 8.57 mln in 2014

The cosmetics and household goods retailer Drogas turned over EUR 64.31 million last year, which is 2% more than in 2013, when the company's turnover reached EUR 63.16 million, reports LETA, according to Firmas.lv information.

The company's profit reduced 3% from EUR 8.84 million in 2013 to EUR 8.57 million last year.

 

The management report says that last year, the company opened four new stores, kept improving the visual image of the existing outlets, and continued researching the market situation and consumption trends.

 

Drogas also owns one Drogas UAB subsidiary company in Lithuania.

 

The total number of Drogas stores at the end of the last year was 134, of which 83 are located in Latvia. Drogas subsidiary in Lithuania concluded last year with a profit, as well as strengthened its positions on the Lithuanian market by opening one new store.

 

This year, the company plans on improving its positions on the Latvian market by opening new stores and investing in outlets in Lithuania.

 

The first Drogas outlet was opened in Riga in December 1993. The company's share capital is EUR 1,821,275. In 2004, Drogas became part of A.S. Watson group, which owns 13 retail brands in 24 countries in Europe and Asia, running a total of more than 11,400 outlets.
