Bite’s profit increases, but turnover decreases in Latvia in Q1

Mobile communications operator Bite Latvija increased its EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) by 14% to EUR 3 million in the first quarter of the year 2015, the company's representatives informed LETA.

Meanwhile, the company's turnover reached EUR 14.4 million, which is 2% decrease, as compared with the respective period last year.

 

The company's EBITDA was EUR 2.63 million in the first quarter last year, turnover – EUR 13.7 million.

 

In the first quarter this year, the number of Bite clients increased 6%, reaching 508,000. In the first quarter last year, the company had 477,520 clients.

 

Bite concluded last year with EUR 60.8 million in turnover and EUR 12.7 million EBITDA.

 

Bite Latvija was founded in 2005 and currently belongs to the Lithuanian company BITE Lietuva UAB.
