Maxima LT to hire additional 1,000 employees in summer

Print versionLithuania's largest retail chain Maxima is planning to hire around 1,000 new employees for the upcoming summer season 2015. This is by a fifth more than the chain employs during off-season, reports LETA/ELTA.

In summer, the best Maxima employment opportunities will be available in Nida and Palanga, the top summer resort towns of Lithuania. Also, additional labour force will be required in Klaipeda, Kretinga, Druskininkai, Moletai, Ignalina and the largest cities of the country – Vilnius and Kaunas.
Statistics show that when the high season ends nearly a third of seasonal employees remain at Maxima if they are offered a permanent job.
Maxima LT is the biggest employer in Lithuania. According to data from 2014, the retail chain has more than 16,000 employees.
