Amber Beverage Group registers largest company share capital in Latvia in 2014

Company to register the largest share capital in Latvia in 2014 was the alcohol production and sales holding Amber Beverage Group, reports LETA, according to information provided by Lursoft IT.

The company's share capital in 2014 was EUR 104.53 million.

 

Company with the second largest share capital last year was Rail Traction Power 1 with EUR 92.67 million, followed by Despina Capital – EUR 22.3 million, Fortum Latvia – EUR 19.93 million, and Damme Real Estate with a share capital of EUR 18.7 million.

 

Last year, the number of newly-registered companies reduced, while the number of liquidated companies increased, according to information provided by Lursoft IT.

 

Lursoft calculations indicate that in 2014, a total of 14,965 new companies were registered in Latvia, 13,991 of which were limited liability companies. In 2013, the number of newly-registered companies was 16,365.

 

Meanwhile, the number of liquidated companies in 2014 was 6,402 – 55% more than in 2013, when the number of liquidated companies was 4,152. Lursoft indicates that thus Latvia's business environment has grown by 8,563 companies.
