TAVA's Inguna Zigure pointed out that the Baltics are beginning to get better known in all of Japan, and increasing tourist numbers in Latvia depends on how fruitful cooperation is with the Japanese media.

The seven guests are reporters who work for lifestyle and travel magazines published by Asahi Newspaper Publication, Euphoria Factory Ltd and others.

Three days in Kurzeme Province will kick off the visit, with stops scheduled in Kemeri National Park, Pure Chocolate Museum, Pedvale Outdoor Art Museum, Alsunga Crafts Center, St. Trinity Cathedral in Liepaja, and much more. The Japanese delegation will then spend two days in Vidzeme Province, and one full day will be devoted to Riga, with the "Palace of Light" [the new Latvian National Library] among the high points.
