Apartment sales in Riga increased by 4.4% in January

Compared to the same month last year, apartment sales in Riga grew by 4.4% in January 2014, according to the analysis of the Land Register's data by the real estate company Ober-Haus, cites LETA/Nozare.lv.

Compared to January 2013, the average price of non-renovated Soviet-era apartments in Riga increased 7.9% and amounted to EUR 625 per square meter in January 2014.

 

According to Ober-Haus there has not been an increase in apartment prices observed due to the introduction of the euro in Latvia.

 

Riga's most popular suburbs to live remain Teika, Purvciems, Plavnieki, Ziepniekkalns, Imanta and Agenskalns. There has also been an increase in demand for new apartments outside of Riga in the near vicinity.
