Turnover and number of real estate transactions in Estonia posts the record of 5 years in Q3 2013
In a year, the number of real estate transactions grew by 11 and turnover of transactions by 16%.
The turnover of real estate transactions posted the record of the past five years in the third quarter since it was in 2008 that the turnover was at a similar level. The same goes about the number of real estate transactions which was higher the last time in the second quarter of 2008.
According to the Land Board homepage, nearly 37,340 hectares of land changed owners in the third quarter versus 33,742 hectares a year earlier. In the Saaremaa county, the amount was the biggest – 4,458 hectares and in the Ida-Virumaa county the smallest, 1,088 hectares.
The real estate price index growth was in the third quarter 15.9% year-on-year but the index fell by 0.9% from the previous quarter. The price index of apartments grew year-on-year by 21.8%, the price index of unhoused land by 5.7% and housed housing land price index by 8.6%.
