Apartment sales in Riga increase by 12% in Q1

Compared to the same period in 2012, apartment sales in Riga grew 12% in the first quarter of 2013, according to the analysis of the Land Register's data by the real estate company Ober-Haus, reports LETA/Nozare.lv.

705 apartment purchase transactions were registered in Riga in January, 687 – in February, 697 – in March.

 

The average price of non-renovated Soviet-era apartments in Riga remained unchanged in March and amounted to EUR 582 (LVL 407.4) per square meter.

 

Client activity in the Soviet-era apartment segment in Riga reduced in March. Those clients, who were interested in Soviet-era apartments in the city, prioritized apartments in the suburbs of Zolitude and Purvciems. The most demanded apartments were two- or three-room apartments for an average price of up to EUR 40,000 (LVL 28,000).

 

The prices of non-renovated Soviet-era apartments in Riga's most popular suburbs, such as Zolitude, Teika, Purvciems, Plavnieki, Ziepniekkalns, Imanta and Agenskalns, ranged from EUR 19,000 to EUR 29,000 (LVL 13,300 to LVL 20,300) for one-room apartments, from EUR 25,000 to EUR 37,000 (LVL 17,500 to LVL 25,900) for two-room, from EUR 31,000 to EUR 44,000 (LVL 21,700 to LVL 30,800) for three-room, and from EUR 40,000 to EUR 46,000 (LVL 28,000 to LVL 32,200) for four-room apartments.
