Turnover of Elvi grupa in 2007 grew by 92%

Print versionIn 2007, turnover of the grocery store chain Elvi grupa amounted to LVL 21.36 million, which is 92% increase on the results of 2006, when it registered LVL 11.08 million profit, according to the Registry of Enterprises' Lursoft data.

However Elvi grupa earnings reduced last year – in 2007 it earned LVL 174,480 in profit, which is 21% less than in 2006, when it posted LVL 221,957 profit.
As reported, the "Elvi" gross turnover in the first nine months of this year amounted to LVL 78.99 million, which is 42% more than in the respective period last year.
"Elvi" is Latvia's largest supermarket chain, established by local businessmen without attracting foreign capital. The development of Elvi Group is based on the franchise principle, currently there are 77 "Elvi" stores operating in Latvia.
"Elvi" is the fastest-developing retail chain in Latvia, and the company expects its turnover to reach LVL 140 million by the end of the year.
