Stora Enso Latvija increased turnover and profit in 2011

Print versionWood processing and supply company Stora Enso Latvija increased turnover by 13% in 2011 to LVL 56.28 million, according to information on Firmas.lv. In 2010, the company achieved LVL 49.73 million in turnover.

Stora Enso Latvija also increased profit last year – from LVL 2.36 million in 2010, to LVL 2.53 million in 2011, writes LETA.
Last year, the company also invested a total of LVL 438,438 in production development.
As reported, at the end of 2009, timber producer Stora Enso Timber, pulpwood export and woodworking company Stora Enso mezs, timber products wholesale companies Puumerkki and Stora Enso Timber Trading merged in order to optimize costs.
The company operated in the town of Smiltene and currently employs 144 persons.
