Lithuanian Petraviciute sets up traditional Eastern Europe food shop in UK

A businesswoman who came to Corby, UK seven years ago has brought a taste of her homeland to the town, informs LETA/ELTA.
Petraviciute set up Eastern European food shop Kalinka, in Pytchley Court, about two months ago and is already building her customer base.
Petraviciute, 31, sells food from Russia, Poland and Lithuania, including items requested by her customers.
These include breads, deli meats, cooking sauces and frozen items, all imported by the shop.
She said: "The items are what people have asked for. I ask them what they would like to see in the shop and order it in on request. There are not any other Eastern European shops so it is good for people, especially if they haven't got transport. I have always wanted to do it. A restaurant is my dream."
Petraviciute had advice on her venture from Corby-based Enterprise Coaching, a free service for people looking to set up their own business.
The programme is funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
