The Ukrainian radio claims that Estonian businessmen are building a 30 million euros solar power station in the Herson oblast in Ukraine, LETA/National Broadcasting reports.

The radio station said that Riigikogu member Tõnis Palts who represented Estonian businessmen and Herson oblast administration head Mykola Kostiak signed the corresponding contract today.

The 23 MW power station should be built in the Hornostaivka region's Velijka Blahovishenka village.

French company Beten Ingenierie and Spanish companies Cividesign and Sedesa also allegedly plan to build wind and solar energy complexes in the Herson oblast. In March last year, Herson signed a cooperation agreement with Greek company ENECO, which plans to build a wind energy park there.
