Nets select Kurucs with 40th pick in NBA Draft

The Brooklyn Nets selected the talented Latvian basketball player Rodions Kurucs with the 40th selection in this year's NBA Draft overnight, reports LETA.

The 20-year-old forward currently plays for Spanish basketball club Barcelona Lassa, mostly playing for the Spanish giant's second team in the Spanish second league.


The Nets also selected Bosnian forward Dzanan Musa with the 29th selection.


Thus, Kurucs has become the fifth Latvian selected in the NBA Draft after Andris Biedrins in 2004, Davis Bertans in 2011, Janis Timma in 2013, Kristaps Porzingis in 2014 and Anzejs Pasecniks in 2017.
