The 12th
annual award goes to Pullman Riga Old Town hotel and the architects and
designers of the hotel: Martins

The Riga Architecture Award this year honors a modern
and emotionally expressive solution in historical environment, said Riga City
Architect Gvido Princis. Meanwhile, several prizes issued by the Riga City
Architect Office this year single out impressive residential buildings, which
mark a new trend on Riga's property market.
Pullman Riga Old Town hotel appeals to the public as
well as professionals, it is characterized by the ability of the commissioning
party, architects and designers to reach agreement, without compromising the
project, on a wide range of questions, and at the same time treat Riga's Old
Town and other historical buildings in the vicinity with respect they deserve,
commented Princis.
This year's public vote award, based on an online vote
on the Riga City Architect Office's Facebook account, goes to a three-story
building at 121 Gertrudes Street and a multi-functional new building at 11
Sporta Street.
