An Estonian owned company, Olsson & Nielssen Nordic OU, is set to build an electricity generating plant with 4,500 solar power panels in the small town of Peetri in Jarva county, regional newspaper Jarva Teataja reported, cites LETA/BNS.

The panels to be put up in the territory of a former pig farming facility will take up approximately two and a half hectares of land, businessman Aap Hirvesoo said.

Construction of the power plant is expected to end in November.

The plant is designed to have a direct current generating capacity of 1.2 megawatts and an annual output capacity of roughly one gigawatt-hour.
