Latvia’s leasing portfolio grows 10.4% in January-September 2016

In the first three quarters of last year Latvia’s leasing portfolio grew 10.4% or by EUR 125 mln, according to the Latvian Association of Leasing Providers writes LETA.

Car lease deals showed the biggest rise, reaching EUR 280 mln in new leasing agreements in the first three quarters of last year.


Leasing portfolio at the end of September 2016 reached EUR 1.33 bln. 76% or EUR 1.015 bln accounted for financial leasing, and 24% or EUR 313 mln for operational leasing. The factoring portfolio at the end of the third quarter reached EUR 168.8 mln, up 11% from late 2015.

The total leasing and factoring portfolio of Latvia was EUR 1.5 bln at the end of the third quarter, or 10.4 % more than in the third quarter of 2015.


The Association of Leasing Providers, established in 2000, unites the largest leasing providers registered and operating in Latvia: Swedbank Lizings, Nordea Finance Latvia, SEB Lizings, UniCredit Leasing, OP Finance, PrivatBank, DNB Lizings, Citadele Lizings un Faktorings, and LKB Lizings.
