Latvian drug wholesalers raise sales 13% y-o-y in November

Print version Latvian drug wholesalers sold EUR 31.08 mln worth of medicines in November 2016 at a 13% rise against the same month a year ago, according to the data of the State Agency of Medicines (ZVA) reports LETA.

Compared to October 2016, the aggregate sales of the Latvian
drug wholesalers remained virtually unchanged in November.
In November 2016, the Latvian drug wholesalers sold EUR
26.76 mln worth of medicines to general drugstores.
The Latvian drug wholesalers also exported EUR 9.19 mln
worth of 545 various Latvian-registered medicines (including 244 government-funded
medicines), up 22% from October 2016.
The average price charged by the drug wholesalers for a
package of medicines was EUR 8.15 (VAT included) in November, up from EUR 7.94
in October.
