Latvijas Tilti signs agreement on construction works at Klaipeda Seaport

Latvijas Tilti construction company and Lithuanian company Borta have signed a construction agreement with the Klaipeda’s State Seaport Authority about the completion of construction works at Malku Bay, the company said in a statement to the Nasdaq Riga stock exchange.

The agreement provides for reconstruction of thee object “Dredging of Malkų Bay down to 14,5 m, including the Installation of the Seawall – the Reconstruction of the Quay at Malkų Bay Botanical Reserve and the Part of the Coastal Protection Structure of Quay No 145 in Perkelos Str. 10”,writes Latvijas tilti.


The agreement value is EUR 11.73 million, including value added tax. The part of works performed by Latvijas Tilti as the responsible partner amounts to 93%. The total period of the works is 19 months. The remuneration for the completed works will be carried out in accordance with monthly acts of completed works.


Latvijas Tilti in the first quarter of this year posted EUR 1.473 mln in sales, down 43 % y-o-y, while its profit was EUR 17,695 compared to EUR 21,638 in the respective period last year. In 2015 Latvijas Tilti earned EUR 69,655 in profit on a turnover of EUR 31.564 mln.


Latvijas Tilti, established in 1942, builds and repairs bridges as well as manufactures and installs metal structures. It is part of the Latvijas Novitates Komplekss (LNK) group.

Latvijas Tilti is quoted on the Secondary List of the Nasdaq Riga stock exchange.
